Blaine T. Holmes, (Buzz) is a graduate of Ellsworth High School and Husson College. He took over the reins of the agency in 1987 when his father, Thomas, retired. A committed citizen of Ellsworth, he has served as president and director of the Kiwanis Club of Ellsworth, director of the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce, and also, director of the Downeast YMCA when it was first established in Ellsworth in the early '60s. Blaine then returned to the board to help direct the planning and building of the new YMCA facility. He coached youth basketball and Little League for over 25 years. He has also served on various Insurance Company Agency Councils. He and his wife, Donna, live in Ellsworth.

Ms. Holmes, a 25+ year veteran of the insurance business, is an Accredited Advisor of Insurance, Associate of Personal Insurance, Certified Professional Insurance Woman, Associate in Insurance Services, among numerous others accomplishments in this industry. As a charter member of Insurance Women of Downeast Maine, she has held the offices of president, treasurer, secretary, and currently, vice president. Donna is a graduate of Sumner Memorial High School and furthered her education attending the University of Maine. She was a long time member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and held various offices within that organization. Donna and her husband, Blaine, have 3 children & 3 grandchildren. Donna is an avid quilter and a diehard Patriots fan. Other interests include, bread baking, cross stitch, knitting and crocheting.

Christopher Holmes, CSR

Mr. Holmes has been in the financial business, serving as a loan officer at Maine Savings Federal Credit Union, for over 9 years. Chris graduated Ellsworth High School class of '83 & attended UMO. He has been active in the town of Hancock as a firefighter since 1992, a licensed First Responder and presently, serves as the town of Hancock Fire Chief. He is a member of Lygonia Lodge #40 and is a Notary Public . Chris has been a long time resident of Hancock & was voted the town's 2007 Citizen Of The Year. He enjoys riding various recreational vehicles, flying, tinkering with his '70 Monte Carlo, reading, building scale plastic models and fixing stuff.

Tammie Carter is a licensed Customer Service Agent with 20+ years insurance knowledge. Tammie has her CPIW and ACSR accreditation. She is a graduate of the Ellsworth High School. Mrs. Carter has served several terms as President of Insurance Women of Downeast Maine and after taking some time off, has rejoined this organization. She is also a past member of Business Profession Women. Today, she is active in her local community as a Girl Scout Leader, Youth Group Leader & member of the UCC of Ellsworth Falls. Tammie resides in Ellsworth with her husband Mike, their daughter Emily, Georgie their cat and 3 goldfish. Tammie enjoys cruising on her Harley Davidson, reading and NASCAR.

Miss Giancarlo relocated to Maine in the Autumn of 2002. She has been in the technology side of insurance for over 10 years. Stacey brings with her, knowledge of insurance automation software; particularly, WINTAM, having been employed in the Applied Systems’ technical support department for over 6 years. Stacey is licensed in personal lines & is a member of the Insurance Women of Downeast Maine. She resides in North Ellsworth with her dog Dolly & 2 kitties, Buffy and Trixie. In her spare time, she finds pleasure in photography, quilting, gardening, and needlepoint.

Unfortunately Wendy was tragically taken from us on August 28th, 2007. She will remain in our hearts forever. Wendy Brown was a licensed Customer Service Agent dedicated to the insurance professional for over 18 years. She held various offices within the Insurance Women of Downeast Maine. After graduating from Sumner High School, she studied business at Husson College. She was close to earning her associates degree in business management. Wendy lived in Hancock with her husband Scott Brown and their 3 children. Her hobbies included NASCAR, ceramics, reading, motorcycle riding and collecting lighthouses.

Dolly is a Maine native. She started her career as office greeter at The Holmes Agency in March of 2003. She continues to welcome our clients to our office & warm their hearts.
